When I try reading AOL news, I only get close to the end of the article when I click next I get a blank page And then I have lost the welcom
Can't complete news items I click NEXT and get a blank page and then loose my welcome page. I have to click welcome in the top left corner and then start over, but still can not see the end of the article. This is enough to make me consider another option to AOL

Have been getting this error message for 1 week now. The error messages come up repeatedly after about an hour and then stop.The connection is fine. Please advise how I can resolve this ASAP.

Switch off and unplug the power from your modem/router.
Leave both unplugged for 30 seconds.

Eliminate ransomware in news story pop-ups.
While reading human interest stories in the news section I encountered a freeze screen with audio which informed me my computer was hi-jacked and I needed to call a phone number to rectify the problem. The story headline was "find the cat in the woodpile". This is not the first time this has happened. Yesterday the story was about an ancient document. In reading that story the message appeared after the second "NEXT" button. Please make this go away.
This is not an AOL pop up. I advise you to run a virus scan.

why is local news for area code 33322 the miami herald you can only read the start of the story then if you want more you have to pay them
get rid of the miami herald for local news for south florida each time you try to read a story when you click on continue for the news story all you get if 15.99 to read it . i am already paying for aol service and always got local news without an extra charge please fix

Improve you news & update it
Your news articles/reviews seem to run for ever & many are pure garage. The interview on "best before dates" has run its course weeks age , take it off & not interesting in the least. Why not try & improving AOL's name by posting better articles/reviews, your news is boring. It makes me want to get rid of my AOL acct.

AOL Gold on Windows 10 will not stop running multiple background processes for the last 4 months. Gold & W 10 all up to date. No new antivirus installed - always same Norton for years. Gold is getting worse and worse.
First you take away the ability to organize the favorites. Now you have removed the User ID's from the sign in screen. And the Add a New User does not work? And when you try and type an email, the address automatically goes into the body of the message. The problems go on and on. What are you doing?

I must be able to edit my birthdate since you system has the wrong birthdate.
My birthdate is wrong in your system. There has to be a way to edit my birthdate otherwise you are telling the state, hospital, FBI, Social Security, US Navy, US Army and VA are all a bunch of liars which you would be including my parents and the newspaper that reported my birthdate. Do not tell me you can not change it as I have been to computer programming school and I was taught that all information is not "set in concrete".

BETA 2561... Attempts to DELETE/REPORT SPAM on an email DO NOT ALWAYS WORK..
After installing this update, I cannot always get an email to be deleted.
Both the DELETE button at bottom and the right-mouse drop-down delete FAIL. ALSO REPORT SPAM does not work
After many attempts last night, two files finally disappeared minutes later.

GOLD address file still not working correctly
The Gold address book is still working correctly. I have had issues with this from the very beginning. If you transfer a name from 'All Contacts' into an address folder it will not stay in there. I also get duplications in the address folders. I have lost names in the address folders also. I have contacted AOL techs several times and they reset my address book only to have it not work properly again and again. Improving Linux compatibility of installer with latest Beta versions (.net 4.8 won't install)
Hello everyone from Germany,
AOL was my first ISP back in 1998 and I thought of what has become of this old classic.
I learned about the Beta site and thought I'd give it a try on Linux using wine (wine is not an emulator).
Unfortunately the installer crashed right away when it was trying to install .net 4.8.

I have a few Win7 computers and noticed that when I did a fresh install on one of them I could no longer download AOL Desktop Gold. It gave a "download error". I called tech support and they said Windows 7 is no longer supported, which is silly. Windows 7 still works perfectly.

Trying to get the group emails that I had in the old AOL and they are gone
It is possible that some contacts were saved offline in the old AOL Desktop (version 9.8 or lower). Since the option to export the address book from the old AOL Desktop is not available, we recommend opening the Address Book in from the old AOL Desktop (there is no need to sign in, in order to open the Address Book) and after retrieving the missing contacts, to manually add them in AOL Desktop Gold (they will be saved on the server, and can be accessed from different devices). The Quick Find feature in email was better before AOL decided to "improve" it.
Please fix the Quck Find feature in email so that it quickly finds ALL the email from one particular sender. If I ask for carpenter3@aolcom, it should show me ONLY the emails from that person. All of them listed one right after another instead instead of being innterspersed with other emails. That's how it was until today when an AOL technician installed a new version of AOL on my computer. The old AOL was better with regard to Quick Find. Hope my explanation makes sense.
