Enlarging a page
When I try to enlarge a website by using the square box next to the red X, there's a pop-up showing a multiple split screen overlay. Please omit the split screen feature. All I want to do is enlarge the page like before.
This is a result of the windows magnifying functionality.

End aol software manually
A way to end the aol software manually is to use the windows task manager by either pressing ctrl, shift and esc or going to the start button and typing taskmgr.
When the task manager appears, on the applications tab, you can end the aol software by clicking on end task or go to the processes tab, click on the aoldesktop.exe, right click, and left click on end process, and click on yes to confirm.
Two reasons for doing this.
1) If the software just isn't playing nice with you and freezes

IS AOL Gold not fully functional?
IS AOL Gold not fully functional? I am unable to save my email folders and messages to my computer hard drive. When I click on save to my PC I get a pop up to "save folder as" but nothing appears in which to name the file folder. I have contacted AOL tech assistance via phone but no practical resolution has been available. This important function needs to be updated as soon as possible.

Not a suggestion just a complaint. I have been a member of AOL for a long time. Luck of the draw that makes me a senior. I don't claim to be a geek or even average at computers. The "new" AOL , to me , is a mess. Now I don't expect my opinion to affect anything, but frustration prompted me to write this. I will try to find a way around your new format, and we'll see if I stay a member. Hello Steve Case!!

Aol Gold diapered on all of our computers
We have AOL gold or should I say we had AOL gold it is no longer on our computers 4 of them. AOL has no trouble with taking out my payment for something I have to go onto Google just to get into my account and I can not get in to cancel my account. If I am going to have to use Google to check my mail I may as well have a free account.

How about showing a little love for your fee paying customers? 30 minutes on hold! All mail going into spam. No way to stop it and no AOL
All mail goes into spam folder. Talked to your folks and they agreed after taking over my computer that any mail sent to me going to spam. They told me they were in contact with the high tect people and would be back in contact with me. Stay off the phone for the call... HA 4 days ago...I am a 25 years fee paying customer of AOL.. May not make 26!!!!

When I try and move an email to another folder, or tag it as spam, my email page will reset and scroll all the way to top of page. This is a new issue and used to not do this. I want to go back to how it used to be,

Go back to providing a safe browser that does not intrude upon my privacy. Verizon now wants me to pay for a service that looks at everything, including my emails, all to sell info to others. I don't want a Big Brother, I don't want everything looked at, and I sure won't pay extra for it. And the final insult? Making it impossible to quit AOL. Luckily, an easy fix, had my bank stop authorization. Try it, you will prefer it to having some AOL person demanding to know why you want to quit, then refusing to drop my account.…

Please power cycle (reboot) your modem/router, by following these steps:
*Switch off and unplug the power from your modem/router.
*Leave both unplugged for 30 seconds.
*Plug the power back into the modem/router and verify that you are again connected to the Internet.If the problem persists, please contact your Internet Service Provider, to make sure the AOL domains, including the AOL Desktop software, are not being blocked on your network.

AOL Background Processes never stop in Windows 10!!
AOL Gold on Windows 10 will not stop running multiple background processes for the last 4 months. Gold & W 10 all up to date. No new antivirus installed - always same Norton for years. Eliminate ransomware in news story pop-ups.
While reading human interest stories in the news section I encountered a freeze screen with audio which informed me my computer was hi-jacked and I needed to call a phone number to rectify the problem. The story headline was "find the cat in the woodpile". This is not the first time this has happened. Yesterday the story was about an ancient document. In reading that story the message appeared after the second "NEXT" button. Please make this go away.
