FIX THIS THING!!!
I don't know how many times I have gone to the SENT mail in the dropdown and clicked it and have lost the connection to AOL.Go ahead and do your regular fix, just merge this with something else and forget about it. AOL has really gone down hill lately. Are you trying to fix things that aren't broken?

As I mentioned previously, I believe you are at risk for litigation if someone with epilepsy has a seizure related to this inappropriate ad when trying to view their email. If you don't respond, I will be forced to contact the Federal Communications Commission about this problem.

AOL gold is junk we need a newer version, this version will not start up until 15-20 tries.
AOL gold isn't working properly and never has I have to click on the icon 15-20 times before it will respond. I have had sever people from tec. support trying to resolve the problem, but as of today it still will not load up until I keep clicking on the icon. This is so frustrating fo a member to pay for service and feel like we are being ignored when so many people have complained to AOL. I may have to leave AOL and I have been with you for around 15 years.
Please send us a crash report in order for our engineers to look into the issue you are experiencing. To do that, please follow these steps:
1. Open AOL Desktop Gold.
2. Click on Help on the top right, and select Report a Bug from the drop-down menu.

Search in mail folders not working right
When I enter a set of letters such as "abc" or "cde" in userid "abcdefg@xyz.com" or the "abc" in the subject "this Labcoat", That email WILL BE FOUND and highlighted..
BUT, when trying to find "Un" or "know" in "UnknownSendfer@UnknownDomain , These are NEVER Found
Nor will the seach for "know' in subject line with "do you know" on one of those "unknown..." sender emailsThe search acts as if the blind copy emails ( Unknownsender ) don't exist.

Continue & Expand the Romanian Tec Support Center
- I opened up AOL this morning and found that AOL 9.8 was no longer available to use. Although I had uploaded AOL Gold I did not like it preferring my 9.8 and continue to pay you for my service. I was given no notice of the change or options to retain the old verson. That was rude.
- What I disliked about AOL Gold is that I was not able send emails to groups. I called the number on the screen and a very nice agent in Romania? Assisted me in transferring the needed groups into my 2nd Aol Gold computer…

Unfortunately, groups you have saved in the old software cannot be transferred to AOL Gold. That is why you have been told that you have to manually re-enter them in the new software. We hope to improve this experience for you.

Dump the Favorites "upgrade"
Prior to AOL Gold the Favorites button was easy to use. Since the "upgrade" trying to locate a favorite results in frustration. It is extremely hard to locate what one is looking for as once a sub-folder is opened it stays open until manually closed - and, opening a sub-folder takes you back to the top of the list and you have to search once again for where it is in the list. Dump this "upgrade" and go reinstall the code for the old Favorites.

AOL Desktop Gold not displaying emails
Hi AOL Support
I have a user trying to use AOL Desktop Gold from behind an enterprise grade firewall. I need to know the specific ports this program uses to. I reinstalled Flash, DotNET, Browser updates and the AOL Desktop Gold Program but the program still does not display emails. I called tech support an spoke with Gabriel and he could not answer this question and said this was the only way I would be able to get this information. How does your technical support group not have access to this type of information?

Email With Attachments
Can you please review this comment from one of my customers. Their system keeps flagging my emails as spam. I only know of one way to attach documents. Is there another method as they suggest?

Folks, besides the feedback I've already given you on this horrendous Desktop Gold "upgrade", I have more bones to pick with you. Why on earth does mail now have a confusing "inbox" tab that was never there before? You have a "new" tab, an "old" tab, and a "sent" tab. What on earth is the "inbox" tab for? You can see the new, old, and sent mails with the other three tabs. What on earth does the "inbox" tab do that's not already covered by the other three? Sorry to hear about your continuous issues with Gold, I’ll pass this over to our engineers.
The Inbox is the main folder where all your emails (read and unread alike) appear. This divides into New and Old folders. In the New folder, you can see only the unread emails as well as those you kept as new. In the Old folder, you will see all read emails. These emails remain in the old folder until you decide to move them to a different folder.
Try refreshing the mailbox after you read or delete an email. Click on the Mail option on the top of the desktop screen and select Refresh Mailbox from the drop-down menu.

Desktop Gold, for me, is a disaster.
I today spent a lengthy time on the phone and interactively (Case # 07716500) with a phone rep in the Philippines who insisted the only way to solve horrific problems I was having sending mail with AOL Desktop on a PC (but not with with AOL on my iPad) was to reinstall Gold. The following 'glitches; on AOL GOLD should be fixed. First, when I try to "manage' my Mail Folders (for instance, rename one of them) it doesn't 'catch' and register when I make the change and press SAVE...... It just stays there and then when I look, the change didn't register.

What happened to being able to send BCC bulk emails to a list of emails for my group that meets each week. We have always been able to send to our entire email list of group attendees. But today I am trying to do this for my co-leader, and received an undeliverable mail notice from the postmaster...though I did receive a sent email notice from AOL showing that the email with all BCC in bulk were sent! Then after sending and receiving the sent mail notice, I received two minutes later the Undeliverable mail email from postmaster@pdes-usa.com saying:

Regarding the issue you are experiencing, this might not be related to the fact that you have sent a bulk email. The bounce-back error you provided us, mentions a problem with the @pdes-usa.com recipient’s mailbox (the type of problem that their email provider will have to resolve).
When you receive an email with a bounce-back error message, it means that AOL was not able to deliver your email, or that the recipient domain rejected your message.
If you continue to receive a bounce-back error after sending mail, please call us at 1-888-265-3733, and one of our technicians can analyze the error and provide you information about why the message could not be delivered.
