auto-suggestions
I am told by AOL Help that you cannot edit auto-suggestions on Desktop Gold. That should be fixed. I mistyped an address and it keeps trying to send it to that bad address. I want to delete that auto-suggestion.

Displaying Multiple Pictures Taken Away :(
I want to know WHY displaying multiple pictures on the screen at one time has been taken away? Why is AOL trying SO HARD to push away their subscribers? Who is making these dumb decisions?

I had to delete AOL because I thought software was corrupted. I've been trying to download AOL Desktop Gold for two days but can't see how to do it without downloading other *. You need to have a site so people can find it and download it easily. Frustrated and ***.

Downloaded attachments are saved in downloads instead of giving an option to save as a document
When trying to save an attachment in my email, it only gives me an option to download instead of allowing me to save it in documents. It then forces me to save the document again in documents.

Go to Edit > Browser settings > Security tab and check the option “Allow
local data to be set”. Changes are saved automatically. -
Have a simple way to report email fraud
Have a simple way to report email fraud from an address which proports to be from AOL. I spent 20 minutes talking to a customer service rep who kept trying to sell me "stuff" instead of taking the fraud info from the email.

You want to improve "gold"? Start over cause it ain't working
What has happened. Now when I sigh on, there is NO option for a screen name and when I tried to open an email, it took over 6 minutes and it still was not open. I gave up trying after that. You "fix" one thing and break 5 others.

AOL GOLD holds me captive until I call 1800 number. What you can do is fix this Once stellar software
it takes forever to load, it has way to many ad's and it holds me captive till i call an 800 number abut virus detection.
Its frustrating when I'm trying to fill out an assessment and I get the ad popups or I get this virus issue. Thans AOL 25 +years of being a faithful customer ndthis is what we get. AOL must not like Outlook. Before you could copy a outlook file and post it the body of the email. Now AOL shuts down.
I use Outlook as my Contact and Calendar. When copying an Outlook contact and trying to paste to the body of the email to send out, AOL rudely shuts down. been going on since Gold was established. Before Gold it worked fine. Have complained about this in the past, but no response and consideration.

Allow floating windows
The browser is trying to be more than it is by masking itself as a separate desktop. Don't do this, use modules and instances instead. Have a main browser and when you click an item have it open a new module for that app that can float and be moved wherever on the screen, do not constrain only to the browser window.

Hate this "new" way of providing feedback -- your upgrade ****
Unable to drag & drop from Favorites into the signature (i.e. Follow me on Twitter - with link already attached). Adding pictures used to be simple - now I have to search for and then copy/paste from another area. AND, after painstakingly creating a signature, and using it many times . . . TODAY, one signature disappeared to be the signature from another saved signature. NOT HAPPY Trying to WORK here!

I gave up
I was TRYING to read the material on Startrek, but the damned video ads kept planing. At one time before I quit, there was in ad playing in opposite corners. I know that those damned things care, cutsy, glitsy, clever, awesome, fantastic and wonderful, but the friggin things are obnoxious, distracting, and foolish. Does anyone there ever pay attention to what you are doing?

WHAT THE **** IS THIS CODE? ALL I'M TRYING TO DO IS DELETE MAIL FROM MY MAILBOX AND THIS IS THE ERROR CODE SHOWING. WHAT IS THIS CODE ALL ABOUT? Long-time customer. I was just calling about the CefSharp.BrowserSubprocess.exe. After about 3-4 minutes of trying to blame me for the problem, she literally hung up on me when I was asking a question. I pay for your service. Hanging up is unacceptable.
My anti-virus keeps blocking this program. Why can't you do something about it.

As for the cefsharp.browsesubprocess.exe concern, this process is the browser process within AOL Desktop that allows the connection to the internet. Each window/feature within AOL Desktop Gold that connects to the internet uses one of these processes for the connection to the internet. As you close windows you will see that these processes exit.
Please be sure to add cefsharp.browsesubprocess.exe to your anti-virus software allow list to avoid any frustrations with connecting to the internet.

Can't sign on securely - says your security certificate is out of date
Trying to sign in on my laptop says "This Connection is Untrusted - You asked to connect securely to api.login.aol.com. but we can't confirm that the connection is secure due to a problem with the websites security certificate (Cert Date Invalid) Such problems may indicate an attempt to steal your information.

PLEASE stop inappropriate merging of feedback
I provided feedback earlier today on an issue with "Check for Updates", and it was inappropriately merged with another post which was also related to "Check for updates" but not the same issue. My feedback was merged without recourse to a closed feedback item, so that I couldn't even point out that the two matters were not the same!!! I understand that merging may be appropriate, but it isn't when the only relationship may be a couple of keywords.

I have had AOL since 1999. When things work, I generally keep them, but when a company continues to make changes without notifying me, and make changes that make more work to do the same thing, I begin to think that perhaps it's time to make a change. Almost every one of my friends and acquaintances who had AOL have left for these same reasons. Lighten up on the selected words that are censored, there are a lot of word aol articles used, words in your article are worse than what we are trying to comment on. Please quit re-posting articles from the past its really getting boring and forcing us to go to other browsers. You maybe don't have to post 80 articles a day that last 3-4 days at a time. Your taking away our 1st amendment.
