    I am an AOL member over 15 years. I have been Assist AOL member for some years. My payment were made automatically and never missed. However I am facing the worst problem now. I am not accessible to AOL support past 10 days. About 2 weeks ago, the function of my new HP computer was slow. Also AOL soft was not working. After someone cleaned up, next day all the function changed. I am a writer and about to publish my book. It is very intense time. I told tech support not to change anything. I also told not remove…

  2. I gave up

    I was TRYING to read the material on Startrek, but the damned video ads kept planing. At one time before I quit, there was in ad playing in opposite corners. I know that those damned things care, cutsy, glitsy, clever, awesome, fantastic and wonderful, but the friggin things are obnoxious, distracting, and foolish. Does anyone there ever pay attention to what you are doing?

    the new policy agreement that all users will be forced to sign is just another slap in the face for all loyal AOL paid subscribers - after 20 years of paying i + all my family member will be cutting all ties with AOL , Yahoo , + Verizon - totally biased , inaccurate , + unreliable companies trying to control users - as if the Gold ongoing problems are not enough !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - VERY FRUSTRATING -

    Why does AOL e-mail ALWAYS go down?? Seems like everyday. Are people at AOL trying to chase people away? Doing a GREAT job at doing that. NEVER had this problem when AOL Owned the company. This before Time-Warner bought it out. SAD AOL decides what e-mail is rejected.

  5. Search line

    After fixing the search (subject) line so that it could be used to find the last page being read if something happened to that page, it seems that you have changed it. Today the page I was reading suddenly disappeared, but it wasn't on the subject line, so I couldn't get it back.. Are you going backward instead of trying to bring the Gold Aol up to the quality of the previous version?

  6. I can't do it any more!

    I was TRYING to read BuzzFeed, and behold those fu--ing videos kept invading the screen on the lower left. Is that really necessary? I "X" it out, and the **** things keep coming back. I am NOT going to put up with it. I'll just forego reading the rest of the material. AOL has gone to **** in a handbasket the last few years. Maybe it is time to find a new provider.

  7. Allow floating windows

    The browser is trying to be more than it is by masking itself as a separate desktop. Don't do this, use modules and instances instead. Have a main browser and when you click an item have it open a new module for that app that can float and be moved wherever on the screen, do not constrain only to the browser window.

    I can't check my multiple AOL screen names from my phone anymore. Samsung wants me to sign a form giving it the right to read all my AOL emails. AOL already reads all my emails now and Samsung is trying to steal the data that AOL sells or uses to entice advertiser to place ads on AOL. I down loaded the AOL Mail app but so far I can only download this AOL screen name.I sent AOL a message to upgrade their mobile app.

    Lighten up on the selected words that are censored, there are a lot of word aol articles used, words in your article are worse than what we are trying to comment on. Please quit re-posting articles from the past its really getting boring and forcing us to go to other browsers. You maybe don't have to post 80 articles a day that last 3-4 days at a time. Your taking away our 1st amendment.

    Just trying to read about Air Force One and a blasted video ad keeps flopping in the lower right corner. It is so distracting for me that I just quit reading. Oh, yeah, I know that they're so cutsy but they are very annoying. I don't watch the dam things, and I don't get the story read that I wanted. Nice going. It's a two time loser.

    AOL:Stop false narratives in your news like describing the death of the killer of Americans Soleimani as "murder".. Soleimani is the murderer. Hundreds of our people killed and thousands with grotesque wounds. The constitution does not permit the president to commit murder but it clearly gives him the authority to kill our enemies. AOL must stop trying to inflame and mischaracterizing  important events in their anti Trump zeal.

    WHAT THE **** IS THIS CODE? ALL I'M TRYING TO DO IS DELETE MAIL FROM MY MAILBOX AND THIS IS THE ERROR CODE SHOWING. WHAT IS THIS CODE ALL ABOUT? THE FACT THAT AOL SUCKS AND BLOWS AND JUST DOESN'T WORK AT ALL BUT WILL TAKE ALL OUR MONEY ANYWAY? YEAH.   13. AOL GOLD holds me captive until I call 1800 number. What you can do is fix this Once stellar software

    it takes forever to load, it has way to many ad's and it holds me captive till i call an 800 number abut virus detection.
    Its frustrating when I'm trying to fill out an assessment and I get the ad popups or I get this virus issue. Thans AOL 25 +years of being a faithful customer ndthis is what we get. UNBELIEVABLE

  14. cefsharp.browsersubprocess.exe

    Long-time customer. I was just calling about the CefSharp.BrowserSubprocess.exe. After about 3-4 minutes of trying to blame me for the problem, she literally hung up on me when I was asking a question. I pay for your service. Hanging up is unacceptable.

    My anti-virus keeps blocking this program. Why can't you do something about it.

    As for the cefsharp.browsesubprocess.exe concern, this process is the browser process within AOL Desktop that allows the connection to the internet. Each window/feature within AOL Desktop Gold that connects to the internet uses one of these processes for the connection to the internet. As you close windows you will see that these processes exit.


    Please be sure to add cefsharp.browsesubprocess.exe to your anti-virus software allow list to avoid any frustrations with connecting to the internet.

  15. AOL just disappears when sending emails

    Three times today when trying to send an email to the draft folder with photos, AOL just disappears and closes out with no warning. Now every time I sign back on that email (now empty) is stuck with all of the other pop ups on sign on. I have some that have been stuck since last summer and Techs were never able to get rid of them so I will not waste more hours of my life calling them again. So now for every sign on, I have to close out about 6 blank emails along with the news…

    Please send us a crash report in order for our engineers to look into the issue you are experiencing. To do that, please follow these steps:

    1. Open AOL Desktop Gold.
    2. Click on Help on the top right, and select Report a Bug from the drop-down menu.
    3. Type a short description of the problem, and click Send.

  16. Getting your jollies

    You peeps must really get your jollies by putting those friggin' video clips in all the time. Just trying to read the story on Lincoln and one of those **** things kept flopping around the bottom corner. I'd shut it off, and it would reappear on the next page. Do you peeps pay any attention to what you are providing? That **** is really distracting. One of these days I'll get tired of it all and cancel AOL and go somewhere else. This used to be a great site, but it has gone steadily down hill.

  17. Hate this "new" way of providing feedback -- your upgrade ****

    Unable to drag & drop from Favorites into the signature (i.e. Follow me on Twitter - with link already attached). Adding pictures used to be simple - now I have to search for and then copy/paste from another area. AND, after painstakingly creating a signature, and using it many times . . . TODAY, one signature disappeared to be the signature from another saved signature. NOT HAPPY Trying to WORK here!

    I was prompted to provide this feedback because in the process of trying to provide feedback on ANOTHER topic (which was my first attempt to use the feedback capability), I had difficulty with just the opening page! I was signed into AOL Desktop Gold via "Submit feedback" on the HELP menu. This opened a browser with the AOL Gold feedback landing page, but the upper right corner said "New and returning users may sign in" and did not reflect knowledge of me as a user. Clicking on…

  20. When it is going to end?

    Oh, here we go. I log on only to find that the welcome screen does not come up but gives a very strange message with some weird thing I have never seen before. You have to click on the message box to get it to come through.

    The email is all screwed up. Nothing is where it is supposed to be.

    Then while trying to read an article the entire screen goes blank.

    When is this nonsense going to end? Can it get any worse? Shame on you! I will be done with you soon.
