  1. Its pretty sad that not only did you not help with my password issue, but the AOL employee didnt know howto transfer my call.

    When an AOL user calls for assistance, try your best to not just give up. Whats the point of a membership fee then?

  2. The auto suggestion on the address bar sucks.

    Leave it as it was--don't want it showing names, topics, etc, that I never searched or care about in my browser!!! Use & PAY for AOL Desktop Gold--!! Don't need to pay for aggravation or for my computer to show places I've never searched!!

    What are the minimum and recommended computer requirements for aol desktop gold? Does aol desktop gold run better on amd or intel cpu hardware, how much ram is needed?

  4. Stop destroying the Icons.

    First you destroyed the "smiley face" by giving it a moronic-looking open mouth. A smiley face is a smiley face. This new thing is not. Now I see you've destroyed the cute "wink." It's substitute is overblown and ugly. Are you deliberately trying to destroy aol? Or has aol been gobbled up by just another tasteless megawhatever?

  5. Problem with your phone service

    I just tried to call your 888 number and I get the computer voice telling me what to do but when I am transferred to a live person, there is just dead silence after the ringing stops. I tried going in through technical support first and it did it 3 different times and then tried going into customer support in case there was a problem with the technical phones but it happens in both places. So if you don't have anyone fixing your phone service, you have a problem.

  6. I'm disappointed with the upgrade of copy send - red boxes appearing -not allowing sending

    Please remove the bell icons that appear when I try to copy & paste.
    After pasting they appear as red rectangles with an x and padlike symbol not allowing me to forward to my existing customers. Now I have to remove all the red markings - this II always did with bcc & to icons. This is very time consuming as I have a long list of customers that are expecting the latest news.

    When it comes to freedom of choice, It would be nice for AOL to be recognized as the World Leader in Customer Satisfaction Rating for Providing Internet Service by empowering subscriber to regain control over their sign-in welcome page by providing additional categories to select as their default Welcome Screen when signing-on to AOL.

  11. When I go into text colors that you can highlite you go into customs to change from black to another color it never works, back to windows 7

    When I go to text colors going into custom and try to highlite a change of color it never will change, can't figure out why you techs set up a bummer for multiple problems, you should of just left well enough alone, just go back to windows 7, loved that version, windows is considered garbage in my book. Get rid of windows gold, it serves no purpose.

    You people are consummately STUPID. You took a good featured program and ******* it up. You removed many great features from GOLD, which is a real piece of ****, by the way. Hard to believe you twits get paid for this. Instead of correcting a problem, you just offer an excuse error message. What dorks. You removed the Drag and Drop function from the Favorites list and alphabetized it instead. Are you a 9 year old? What a bunch of colossal fools. And then you charge for this service?     The AOL Desktop Gold recently received a new update to address several performance issues. To make sure that you have this new update installed, click on the Help button on the top right, and select “About AOL” from the drop-down menu. In case your revision number is lower than 11.0.2007, click on the Help button again and select “Check for updates”, and leave the software open for 10-15 minutes then close and re-open it (in order for the update to be installed in the background).

    If you already have the latest revision and are still experiencing performance issues, please send us a crash report in order for our engineers to further investigate the issue. To do that, follow these steps:

    1. Open AOL Desktop Gold.
    2. Click on Help on the top right, and select Report a Bug from the drop-down menu.

  16. I seem to have issues with imbedded pictures in my mail. Whatever picture i imbed in my mail people seem to receive it blown up ( (too big)

    Regarding your experience with the Address Book groups, this is caused by the auto-add contacts feature. If the groups contain email addresses that are not in your Address Book (individual contacts) they will be automatically added, after sending an email to the group. Also removing the individual contact from the Address Book, will also delete it from the group.

    In order to avoid auto-adding contacts to the address book, please follow these steps to disable the auto-add feature:

    1. Click Edit on the top left.
    2. Select Mail…

    I try to ignore someone who is in chat and I get an error stating I can't ignore myself. This piece of garbage software always has problems.

    In order to save a picture from the Ancestry.com web-site, click on the photo to expand it (if necessary) then right-click on it and select “Save image as…”. On the Save As window that comes up, select the location where you want to save the photo, and click Save on the bottom.
