Peacock TV & Paramount Plus
I have noticed you can't watch anything on Peacock TV or Paramount Plus using AOL Desktop Gold. Peacock TV says "something Went Wrong. Sorry, your system configuration is not compatible with Peacock. Please check the supported devices in our Help Center (6007)."
Paramount Plus says "This video is currently unavailable. Please try again. Error code: 3005".
I have tried on a new of shows and they all say this. Please fix!

Settings are all messed up
My Avast abtivirus did an update last night, and now I'm having problems with AOL. It no longer has my user name and password saved, even though I've repeatedly told it to. My mail settings are screwed up, and when I try to get to them, all I'm getting is a black screen. What's happening, and how do I correct it? Has anyone else had this problem?

Desktop Gold Font
aol gold freeses often. i try to reply, but the page the sender wrote doea not appear. often it blank. so I must use Chrom to replay their mail. Font size got smaller and gray scale, I had to change. All those things happened recently. Also it got very slow and sometimes does not open. I mostly use Chrom AOL. I am paying for Gold. You must fix it.
Please use the "report a bug" option in the help menu. This will supply us with useful diagnostic information that can help determine the cause of the issue so that we can resolve it.

"Whenever we download any types of attachment ,the download confirmation window "ALWAYS GETS BEHIND" the previous window, whenever we move the mouse , Instead of remaining in "FRONT" of the previous window.
((( It only happens whenever we download a file from mail attachment not a regular download from a website. )))

-Rename AOL desktop data.
-Reset all windows sizes and position preferences.
-Checked settings of ADG and there's nowhere we can find an option for it.

Mouse forward and backword buttons do not work like they did in other versions like 9.7. When will this be fixed? Mouse works fine everywhere except in the Gold Desktop. I have contacted Techs many times before and I am just told it will be reported but it still is not fixed and it has been almost a year now. It is not my computer at fault, it is AOL programming which causes this.

Err3 error.. what the heck is that about?
When trying to get a piece of email to go to my waiting to be sent folder I got that message. Why should there be any delay or error sending mail to my waiting to be sent folder? Why isn't it going through immediately? This doesn't happen all the time, but it shouldn't happen ever at all for any reason.

I won't call aol techs again. They told me aol is aware of the problem and is working on it.
II won't call aol techs again. They told me aol is aware of the problem and is working on it.. He reinstalled it twice and it still doesn;t work right. It drops off when I try to read the article and even when tryinig to read e-mail. It used to be good, but isn't worth the money now. I read your reviews and lots of others have the same problem.

AOL and Win 11 issue.
My AOL email is margetill@aol.com and akknothead@aol.com .
Desktop Gold is not working in Win 11. I have 2 accounts that i use on 2 different computers. Both Win 11. Both are facing the same issue.
Whenever, i signin, after entering my ID and password, i get a message, welcome, you got mail, and thats it. everything freezes. AOL desktop gold does not respond. I only see the blue desktop screen with all the options like file, edit =, mail, read, write etc. But can not click on them. I have to end task the AOL in taskmanager.

CompuServe Welcome Screen Not Working
UPDATE 4/16/26 -- Looks like this issue has been resolved.
When signing in, the CompuServe Welcome Screen (main menu) doesn't load. Instead there's an error "This site can’t be reached
Check if there is a typo in webcenters.netscape.compuserve.com.If spelling is correct, try running Windows Network Diagnostics.
DNSPROBEFINISHED_NXDOMAIN"It appears "webcenters.netscape.compuserve.com" is no longer a valid site. Perhaps changing the welcome screen to use "https://member.compuserve.com/menu/" would be a good fix

In addition to agreeing with virtually all comments that I saw for improvement please see the following comments.
There are too many key strokes required on a number of items: 1. The old system allowed the e-mail list to open automatically on sigh on so no strokes were required. 2. The "folders" window opens automatically when the mail window is open. I do not want to see the folders window unless I activate it myself as I used to be able to do. 3. when saving an e-mail there are two boxes that must be closed upon completion. This is one keystroke too many. 4. The search box opens automatically when AOL opens. Please change this so I…

Unable to sign on to AOL!
For the first 5 or 6 tries I kept getting a white page with nonsense on it after entering my password and trying to sign on. Something new and bad is happening daily! No improvements that I can see which are listed on your Beta Fixes. Just more and more goes wrong with every passing day. This is way too stressful and to add insult to injury we are paying for all of this nonsense. We need to have the old AOL back!

The recent change to supposedly improve the "MY FAVORITE PLACES" bookmark list WENT BUST almost immediately. You'd think the AOL Gold tech idiots would have better things to do than experiment with stupid program changes at our time and expense. They spend most of their time sitting there looking busy to otherwise justify their positions and jobs. Chat rooms Problems
Have AOL Tech support do there job and support it's been over 5 days and no response, my screen name is stuck in two chat rooms and will not clear. All I am told is we can't fix it or wait for a new update, they can not tell me when that would even happen. This should be a easy fix on there end and I get the round around when I try to ask for help!

How can I delete the AOL Home page - I have had it with 15 pages to get the end of a story - to find nothing like the story.
How do I delete the AOL News welcome Icon from my homepage? I have had it with scrolling through dozens of pages to try and read a story often to find it had nothing to do with the story heading.
