OK I TRIED TO DO THIS BUT AFTER I CLICKED # 4 ALL IT KEEPS DOING IS LOADING I WAITED FOR OVER 5 MINUTES AND IT STILL DID NOT LOAD, SO WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH YOUR APP, SO I STILL CAN NOT CANCEL, I DID TRY THIS SEVERAL TIMES

Select a reason for canceling from the drop-down menu.
Click Cancel My Billing.
Try to clear the Footprints and follow the steps again.
Here’s how:
a. In the top left corner of the AOL Desktop window, click “Edit” then choose “Select Footprints to Clear” from the drop-down menu.
Select “Clear Footprints” from the Browser Settings. No need to wait for a confirmation message, the Footprints will be cleared immediately.If you still encounter issues call us at 1-888-265-3733.

When will things work as they used to
I just wasted over an hour trying to sign into Gold. After the little white box appeared two blue circles would freeze and got message "not responding", yet every other website I tried was no issue.
I finally wasted more time calling Tech Support and reporting the issue. Other than trying to sell me some check up program I do not need, wanting to reinstall which I had done a short time ago making no difference in all the problems and filing a case number, that was it.
I again reported my seven carousel icons which are moved…Please send us a crash report in order for our engineers to look into the issue you are experiencing with the software closing unexpectedly. To do that, please follow these steps:
1. Open AOL Desktop Gold.
2. Click on Help on the top right, and select Report a Bug from the drop-down menu.
3. Type a short description of the problem, and click Send. -

AOL Desktop Gold uses fonts that are available by default for most users. Fonts on any specific computer are only on that one computer, meaning, if you were to write an email using a custom font on your computer, it would not be the same font on the computer where a recipient is reading that email which could corrupt the view the sender was expecting.

Is Your AOL GOLD running slowly? HERE'S THE SOLUTION
I had problems with AOL Gold. It was running slow, take forever for Welcome Window to open and the same with the email.
I contacted AOL tech. They took control of my computer and made some changes. Also had me subscribe to System Mechanic.
Seemed to solve the problem but the next day the same problems.
I finally found the solution researching on the web. Easy to do. Just follow the directions. I'm no techie. It will also speed up Chrome and all the other browsers. This is easy. Link below.

What the **** is going on AGAIN . My PATIENCE IS RUNNING THIN. Just turned on my computer and see that 9.8.2 is NO LONGER available.
Three days ago I got the AOL ALERT Msg , about Only using AOL GOLD, (Which is a Piece of *) Then after having to wait over 20 minutes listening to Twangy music, a AOL tech kept saying how SORRY AOL WAS for wait time And Not INFORMING AOL people that a DRASTIC CHANGE WAS BEING MADE. AOL 9.8.2 was NOT BROKEN. Then a day later 9.8.2 was back., NOW 9.8.2 IS GONE… -
The Desktop Gold is the worst "upgrade" EVER (see below)
AOL Gold is a disaster! The worst "upgrade" yet! I know you have told us that the "security" is better, but I can't see one single way how that manifests. Actually, there is not one thing in this Desktop Gold that is an improvement over 9.8.2, and in many ways, the software is FAR worse. Here's a detailed list of my complaints:
- EVERYTHING you do is slower. Every single action taken. Anything you click on takes longer to pop up than ever before. This applies to clicking on a hot link, on a photo, on your mailbox, on any individual…

Store emails on our PC rather than on AOl Desktop Gold.
AOL tech support reinstalled AOL desktop gold on my computer. All of the emails that I had saved under the folder "save on my PC" from August 2017 to present were not there. I have contacted tech multiple time since discovering this issue. Many were not able to understand the problem. The last person understood the problem and told me that the email files were not saved on my PC but rather on AOL Desktop Gold. He believed that the files were still there someplace but that the tech support personnel in his office had no way of knowing…

AOL Gold. What needs to be changed. What is management thinking?
The new sign in will not hold your sign on and password even though there is a place for it. It's easier to use google chome and its free!! Simply, It takes too long to get an operator on to cancel aol gold. Why would you want to chase away long term customers. it's difficult to attatch documents, and the 9.8 was user friendly. Email groups missing
I just spent about 90 minutes with AOL tech support to try and fix why all of my email address groups disappeared. I tried to add a new group and AOL had a glitch and logged out. When I logged back in all of my email address groups were missing. I was told by tech support that they could not back up my address groups. - Freezing up when trying to open and AOL "not responding"
- Double spacing when writing emails
- Emails that go out when "send" is clicked and not getting "error, try again" message
- Stationary and added features (some animated) that used to be part of 9.7

This new [Unsubscribe] next to the From line of the email - why is it there?
It isn't on every email I receive. Some members of many groups I belong to have it in their emails to me and others don't. Why would I unsubscribe from a private person's email? If this is AOL's way of trying to do the "Do Not Call" list for spammers, isn't it just telling them our email addresses really exist. I learned years ago to NEVER reply to a spam message - isn't that what the unsubscribe would do if a spam message was in with our regular messages?

Terms Of Service seems to be selective in AOL Chatrooms
AOL reestablished the use of REPORT in their chatrooms...and this sometimes results in a chatroom member losing their screen name for repeated violations...HOWEVER, not all TOS violators wind up losing their screen names and are bullying and harrassing other chatroom members in this one particular chatroom -- ROMANCE 60s PLUS LOVE -- several of the regular members brag that they are "protected" and will nevah lose their screen names while some trying to be honest and forthright lose screen names right and left....ARE THERE PROTECTED MEMBERS IN THE CHATROOMS AND IF SO WHY IS THAT SO? Suppose you had one or more window tabs open on the aol desktop. It used to be that when you would click the "welcome" tab, the space in which to type a new URL was blank. This is no longer the case. The AOL software would only try to "guess" previously used URLs when I started typing in the URL space.
